The Record MB-98 is a dynamic microphone that Record has developed for use in broadcast, podcast and studio recording. It has quickly become a hit among several of the most popular podcasters and professional studios. This is partly because it performs on par with the most commonly used microphones of this type from large and recognised manufacturers – but at a much lower price.
The microphone has a smooth and wide frequency response and picks up sound with clarity and detail. The MB-98’s Cardioid polar pattern suppresses acoustic feedback, isolating it from picking up ambient sound. It is also equipped with a 200Hz low cut filter and a frequency boost control, which you can use to improve sound clarity and presence.
The MB-98 is made of metal, making the microphone strong, durable and reliable. An integrated windscreen that Record places underneath the head of the microphone effectively counteracts air noise that can hit the microphone.
