Your phone will not receive any audio signal with a regular minijack cable, also called TRS. It needs a TRRS connector to get through, which you get by plugging the Record AC-TRRS-TRS into the extension of the minijack cable from your microphone.

Record AC-TRRS-TRS is a TRS-to-TRRS adapter designed to connect a microphone with a 3.5 mm minijack output to smartphone devices with a 3.5 mm TRRS input. The Record AC-TRRS-TRS can also be used with stereo microphones, combining the left and right channels into a mono signal to make it compatible with a TRRS input.
