Record TwinLink wireless microphone system – two microphones, ready to use
Record TwinLink is a wireless microphone system with two handheld microphones and a compact plug-in receiver. It is an ideal choice for singing, speech, karaoke and events where you want to give two people the freedom to move without microphone cables. The system is factory preset, so there is no need for frequency scanning or pairing before you get started.
The receiver plugs directly into the microphone or line input of a mixer, amplifier or active speaker via the integrated 6.3 mm mono jack plug. Simply turn down the volume before connecting, switch on the receiver and the two microphones, then adjust the level on your audio equipment.
Both microphones are fitted with a dynamic cardioid microphone capsule. The cardioid pattern focuses on sound in front of the microphone and suppresses sound coming from further away from the microphone. This is a useful feature when using the microphones for, for example, singing or speech through a sound system. Each microphone has an integrated display showing the UHF frequency and operating status, as well as an on/off button. This makes it easy to see that the microphone is active.
TwinLink operates in the UHF band from 200 to 270 MHz and is configured for the licence-free EU/UK UHF band. Under normal conditions of use in the EU and UK, no transmission licence is therefore required. The system uses squelch, which mutes noise when no usable signal is received. The range is up to 30 metres in open areas with a clear line of sight. The audio from both microphones is automatically combined into one shared, unbalanced mono output on the receiver. This provides a simple connection, but also means that the two microphones are not sent to separate outputs.
Each microphone uses a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery, while the receiver has an internal 18650 Li-ion battery. The microphones and receiver are charged via USB-C. The USB-C port on the receiver is for charging only and does not transfer audio.
