Record Mic2 wireless system for saxophone etc. – the freedom to move and play
Record Mic2 is a wireless microphone system for acoustic instruments such as saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, flute and violin. The system consists of a transmitter with microphone, which is attached to the instrument, and a receiver, which connects to your amplifier or speaker. It is a practical solution for anyone who wants to amplify their instrument without a microphone stand and without a cable between the instrument and sound system.
The microphone is unidirectional, meaning it picks up sound primarily from the direction it is pointing. Together with the adjustable gooseneck, this makes it easier to position the microphone at the instrument's sound source and adapt it to your particular playing technique.
Record Mic2 transmits digital audio via the 2.4 GHz ISM band and connects automatically when the transmitter and receiver are switched on. The connection indicator flashes during connection and remains steadily lit when the system is ready. This eliminates the need for manual pairing, so you can start playing more quickly.
The stated latency is only 12 ms, so there is very little delay between your attack and the sound from the speaker. The system has a range of up to 40 metres outdoors and up to 20 metres indoors. Other wireless devices and larger obstacles may affect the wireless connection.
The transmitter's function display normally shows the battery level. When you adjust the volume, the display briefly shows the current level: one press increases the volume, while a double press decreases it. This makes it easy to adjust the signal directly on the system.
The rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 15 hours of use on a single charge. Charging takes place via USB Type-C, and the charging indicator shows when charging is in progress, when charging is complete and when the battery is low.
The receiver supports both 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm audio jacks, allowing you to connect it to a suitable input on a speaker or amplifier. Record Mic2 also supports simultaneous use of an unlimited number of transmitter/receiver pairs in the same room. To avoid incorrect connections, however, the systems should be switched on one at a time.
